Tony, a lifelong cyclist in British Columbia, has discovered a new lease on life thanks to his electric trail bike (eBike). He can now ride farther and faster and explore new trails that he never thought possible.
Introduction:
Tony has been cycling for 36 years. He started as a young competitive enduro rider in the BC mountains, and then transitioned to road racing and recreational off-road adventuring. As he got older, he found it more and more difficult to keep up with the younger riders, and he started to lose interest in the sport.
Then, Tony discovered electric trail bikes. He was skeptical at first, but after riding one for the first time, he was hooked. The eMTB gave him the power to ride up hills that he used to struggle with, and it allowed him to explore new trails that he never thought possible.
Tony’s Story:
I’ve been cycling for as long as I can remember. I grew up in the BC mountains, and I spent every spare moment riding my bike. I was a competitive enduro rider for many years, and I loved the challenge of racing against the clock.
As I got older, I found it more and more difficult to keep up with the younger riders. I started to lose interest in racing, and I switched to road cycling. I enjoyed riding on the road, but I missed the thrill of mountain biking.
About a year ago, I heard about electric trail bikes. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give one a try. I was amazed at how much fun it was to ride. The eMTB gave me the power to ride up hills that I used to struggle with, and it allowed me to explore new trails that I never thought possible.
My eBike is the Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 SL with a Bosch CX Gen 4 drive and 750 Wh battery. It’s a lighter than other eMTBs and has the power and the range that’s perfect for riding on BC’s challenging trails. I love the way it handles on technical terrain, and it has enough range for me to ride all day long.
Since I got my eMTB, I’ve been riding more than ever before. I’ve explored new trails all over BC, and I’ve had some of the most amazing rides of my life.
One of my favorite rides is the Seymour Loop in North Vancouver. It’s a challenging ride with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain, but the views from the top are incredible. With my eMTB, I can ride the loop and still have enough energy to enjoy the views.
Another favorite ride of mine is the Sunshine Coast trail. It’s a 100-kilometer trail that winds its way through the coastal mountains. It’s a challenging ride, but it’s also very rewarding. With my eMTB, I can ride the entire trail in one day.
I’m so grateful for my electric trail bike. It’s given me a new lease on life. I can now ride farther and faster than ever before, and I can explore new trails that I never thought possible.
If you’re looking for a way to get back into cycling, or if you’re just looking for a new challenge, I highly recommend getting an electric trail bike. It’s a great way to get exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and have some fun.
